I was using my Kodak (lower end) camera for the pictures I took so there will be some that are blurry.

We chose to hit Crystals Pizza Friday night after a large meal at Saltgrass an a failed attempt to go to the Imax (nothing good was showing and it was late). I tried to take a picture of the lighted Crystals signs from the parking lot. The small one near the highway was too blurry and I can't say the main lighted sign was much better but I uploaded it anyway. I suppose I can go back someday and take a picture of it when it is light outside. Then the design of the front is clear.

When entering, we saw the usual signs along the long hallway leading up to the cashier. This sign and this one are typical. Nice antique look and feel.

Anyone who ate at Crystals remembers the antique signs, the cool light fixtures, the nice display cases and the ubiquitous piano. Sadly no one was playing the piano that night. According to the fliers I saw, the piano is mostly a lunch attraction.

The one thing I recall most vividly about Crystals was the theater. Since it was full of people and dark, I spared them the flash but did manage to get a shot of the entrance. The old movie posters really made the atmosphere. Sadly, instead of showing the Three Stooges and Laurel and Hardy shorts I remember as a kid, they show more modern animated shows like Jetsons, etc. Last time I was there (a year ago or so), I spoke to the owner and he told me it was because the kids usually at Crystals didn't like the old black and white shorts. I spoke to a manager there and she told me the place had undergone a management change a few months ago. New owners, same place for the most part. They seem to be marketing more to amateur sports teams (Little League, etc) than in the past.

I also took some pictures in a very dark conference room. This one was the only one that really came out.

One the way out, there was the old school 'Test your Love' next to the door. No, that wasn't my result. You can see the reverse image of the 'Theater' entrance in the glass pane of the exit door.

Overall, it was a decent trip. Oh, one last thing. The new owners of Crystals have a website: http://www.crystalspizza.com
